I think I was quite obsessed with Gus at one point, every-time I was up at Diane's every black and white dog - was Gus! even when it wasn't him.

Me: Is this Gus??!!
Di: No..
Me: so where is Gus then??
Di: at Lorna's!

Me: Oh right!??

Next visit
Me: is that Gus?
Di: Noooo he is at Lorna's
Me: ..oh yeah..!

Me: So have I ever met Gus then?
D: no I don't think so....
Me: Oh right!!

I am still not convinced I haven't met Gus...he is gorgeous, maybe I dreamed I met him, once upon a time,..or maybe the time is still to come...

Gorgeous Gus

Hello everyone. I'm new to the Forum, but have enjoyed reading all the posts over the last few weeks. I'm delighted to announce that Gus has come to live with us, and is well into his sleep, eat, sleep, walk and sleep routine. Our old dog Sinbad, also a retired racer, passed away at the good age of 13, so Gus is our second dog - those greyhounds just get right under your skin - and those eyes!! He was six on Sunday and celebrated by walking, paddling and then sleeping!

The photos of the walk at Bennachie are great - I wonder if we could do something similar in Moray? Does anyone else live in this area?

I'm looking forward to joining in with the Forum - isn't it great to be able to talk dogs!!

I must be going crazy..can't quite believe what I have seen tonight in the garden...

It was a frog! A flipping frog.

Been living here for ooohhhh 10 years! - and I have never, ever had a frog until tonight...
couldn't take my eyes off it, thought about catching it and keeping it to show the little uns - but then worried about cruelity and all that!...don't want to end up on "you tube" after the story with the woman and the cat...which was a weirdo, stupid thing to do..

So its still out there..it bounced away...OMG!!!...I have a frog in my garden.....
It was tiny too...but big enough to see...wow!!

We are having thunder and lighting now!!! Really quite loud and clearly on-top of us..

Charlie is currently going mad in the living room with a toy..none the wiser.
Phoebe is at my feet
Lassie ...Lassie ...has disappears.......................oh she is fine, she is in the lobby, and Cheeky Charlie toy turned out to be a shoe...not so good, but it is now rescued and non harmed.

A post on gumtree too - might help...

The fact that she is black doesn't make her easy to spot, especially with the darker mornings etc.

I am positive she is fine, and will be found soon.

A small reward is also an incentive for the youngsters of the area to go out and help in the search too.

If not done already - put posters up where she was last seen, and also go back to "that" spot before she ran off with biscuits in a tin to make a rattling noise - don't move about - by sway or walk back and forth - but stay in the same area/spot..calling her name - or whatever it is that is used for recall - whistle etc..even having your car engine running..might bring her forward, she will recognise this.

Day-time would be better -for both of you. Retrievers are more sensitive to sound and smell and like to see things in motion.

Stay calm when you do see her - but don't halt to a stop either.

Bennachie Walk - Sponsor Money (reply)

Hello Derek,
We`ve got loads of energy if it involves helping the dogs. It was good to see you and Cassie yesterday, giving you 100% attendance for the three Bennachie Walks. Well done on raising £100 too, that brings the total amount to £363 for the walk yesterday. Just send your cheque to Diane please, made payable to GAGAH as usual. We are looking forward to the 4th walk next year too, and I`m going to try and get everyone that`s been on the last three to come along. Cheers for now, Alfie

Hello,
We all had a great time yesterday, and yes both dogs are beautiful, and anyone would be pleased to have them, I`m sure. They are Morph and Shelby, and they are as nice as they look in the photos, and a credit to their owners. Bit of mutual admiration going on, as they wanted to take Frankie home.(No chance of that) See you soon, Alfie

Phil/Liz

door sorted, dads got a few to choose from that he can cut down to size if required. Does it need to have a window?

He's also suggesting that if the plans allow, 900x2100 would be a more practical size for the purpose intended, but either way, he'll cut it to fit whatever size you need.

Bennachie Walk - Sponsor Money

Hello,
A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped raise sponsor money for the 3rd Bennachie Walk on Sunday. A "Blue Peter badge" goes to, Liz, Alison, Pat and Avril as they collected a combined total of £263 to add to the GAGAH funds. I think we can all be proud of ourselves and the effort that has gone into all the activities and events we have organised, helped out at, and attended this year. The greatest effort this year by a long way, must have been to rescue 19 dogs at once. All the money we have raised will help to take the strain off the vets bills which will be considerable, just to put these 19 dogs back into basic shape. This is why we all do what we do, because when things work out we have wonderful dogs at the end of it all.
Bye for now, from Jealous Jess and Flatout Frankie

So sorry to hear that. Just an idea but, does your sister use Facebook ? There is a woman on from Ireland who has had her whippet stolen and started a group on Facebook - she now has 1600 people aware of her missing dog and looking out for her. "LUCY - DOG" will give you the page on Facebook. I have been following the story - no luck so far but there's a huge network of people now aware. Sincerely hoping by the time you read this though, your sister's dog will have been found. She must be so upset. S x
